Community Research & Consultation
Many communities are labeled as Environmental Justice status meaning they have a 20+% poverty level and/or a 30+% minority level. Despite the myriad programs and funding, poverty has worsened over the last 20 years. It is crucial that all communities in the region have confident and autonomous adults who are civically engaged and community leaders for sustainable economic development. CBREE's team of experts will collaborate with the community's stakeholders to develop, perform, and analyze the research to provide successful adult, family, and community literacy and educational programs.
Adult Literacy and Education Programs
Adult basic education and literacy teachers are expected to instruct their learners to academic achievement guided by funding-driven standards. The reality is their classrooms are comprised of culturally and linguistically diverse (CLD) learners seeking adult and community literacy and skills to improve their life's journey. CBREE will work with your organization and teachers regarding identifying their specific professional develop needs for providing instruction to CLD learner participants.
Teacher Professional Development
All teachers are caught between providing intended scripted instruction in accordance with federal and state standards and the classroom composition of the students that includes their biography, learning needs, learning characteristics, and learning styles. CBREE helps education organizations respond to this and provide effective professional development courses and workshops.
Research
Communities are sophisticated and complex in their social, cultural, and historical composition as well as the external factors regarding blight, disinvestment, environmental hazards, and airborne hazards. It is necessary to conduct the credible and rigorous research to identify the findings necessary for insightful and effective adult, family, and community programs.

The organization's survival depends how proficient the workers are with adapting to the changing societal and workplace expectations regarding their ability to be a lifelong learner. CBREE will work with the organization's trainers and provide professional development that will improve and broaden their knowledge and skills for delivering proficient and effective training programs.
